Ginette got in touch with me for her Bournemouth Brand Photography shoot after seeing the work I did with a friend of hers, Alex of Paisley Pilates. She loved the images and it was enough to give her the confidence to go ahead with her own brand photography shoot.

We had a great first discovery call, I could tell she had loads of energy and this would be a fantastic shoot. I wasn’t wrong.

Ginette has her own home gym where she conducts personal training. Her aim is to empower women through gaining physical and emotional strength. Ginette wanted to raise her profile in all areas of womanhood. With a specialism in pregnancy and postnatal fitness, she trains women of any age and phase of life.

‘‘I have always wanted women to be the strongest version of themselves and help them heal and recover after carrying and birthing their babies. I have always wanted to remove the fear and stigma of women lifting weights, and also raise the importance of lifting weights for women to support them through menopause,’’ says Ginette. 

The Brief - Bournemouth Brand Photography

Ginette was updating her website with a complete refresh and needed plenty of shots of her in the gym, with some details of the equipment. She also wanted to show her love of the outdoors and her dogs.

To keep on track I asked Ginette to make a shot list of the exercises she wanted to include and be ready with changes of clothes. It’s always a good idea to pre-plan a basic shoot list so nothing gets forgotten.

The Shoot - Bournemouth Brand Photography

Our Bournemouth brand photography shoot took place in Ginette’s home gym. It’s a fantastic bright space, I just had to keep in mind where the mirrors were so as not to get myself in the background.

We started off the shoot with a lovely coffee and some puppy cuddles, as Ginette has two gorgeous doggies. After a quick check over the shot list, we got to work in the gym. We wanted to capture a range of different exercise photos - both weights and core-specific with bands working out. Not knowing much about workouts myself I just let Ginette do what she does best. I have to say I was super impressed with her power, she’s tiny and was lifting huge weights! She did assure me that you can start off with much smaller weights though!

When we’d finished in the gym we headed off to a local beauty spot called St Catherine’s hill. I always like to add some more relaxed images to the shoot as these are perfect for social media.

I had such a fab time with Ginette, she’s very caring and loads of fun. I could have happily hung out with her for the rest of the day.

The Results - Bournemouth Headshots Photography

I loved the shots I captured with Ginette, I really felt that her lovely personality shone through and I couldn’t wait to hear what Ginette thought of them. I was so proud when she came back with this comment ‘‘you have done an awesome job of showing the real me and that is just wonderful!’’

I do believe that when you get a good vibe with a client the results will certainly show that. That’s my aim. To just show each person’s inner beauty as well as their outer beauty.

Part of my editing process is to make sure my clients have a range of image sizes and for this shoot also some black and white. These are then uploaded to a private gallery. They can then spend time deciding on their favourites.  There are usually 300 plus images to choose from, so the gallery is there for months to come if my clients need a few extra downloads.
