I was thrilled when I received an email from Emily asking me to be her Dorset headshot photographer. Especially as she is herself a very talented wedding photographer. There really is no better accolade than another photographer liking your style enough to book you.

Emily has been helping couples tell their love story with her beautiful wedding images for a year now, and I’m certain she will be in great demand. She fell in love with photography as we all do and followed her heart to do what she loves, working with people.

The Brief - Dorset Headshot Photographer

Emily was looking for some up-to-date headshots for her website and social media that reflected her brand style. And being a photographer she knew the value of having her Dorset headshot photography done professionally. Getting that connection that allows your personality to shine out can really only be done when you have someone to react to. You never quite hit the mark with selfies!

The Shoot - Dorset Headshot Photographer

For Emily's Dorset headshot photography shoot, she chose a fab local cafe called Little Perth in Southbourne. She had already arranged with the owners to hire it for half an hour before opening. We had the whole place to ourselves which was great as we could move around a lot and get plenty of shots. I really recommend all my clients to get in touch with your chosen location owners, most are super happy to help for a small fee.

It is weird when you are usually on the other side of the lens, and Emily was a little camera shy, but as soon as she had hold of her own camera she really relaxed. I know exactly how she feels, I’ve had to work hard on feeling relaxed in my own portraits too. She needn’t have worried though, she was a natural.

The Results - Dorset Headshot Photographer

I was over the moon with the headshot photography I did for Emily. The lighting in Little Perth was fantastic and I feel like I really captured her personality. I managed to get so many shots in fact that it was really hard to choose my favourites for her gallery!

As a Dorset headshot photographer, it’s fantastic connecting with other local women in business.  I think we have a special bond through our creativity.
