As a headshot photographer in Bournemouth, I have the pleasure of working with some fabulous women in business who offer something a little more creative to their clients. Anna’s background is in accountancy, but she’s not just about the numbers. Her aim is to help her clients reach their goals with positive mindsets by really getting to know them and where they want to take their business.
The Brief - Headshot Photographer in Bournemouth
Anna has just launched her business and needed a nice set of headshots to bring her personality to the forefront of her brand. She wanted them to look relaxed yet professional and opted for a cafe location. We chatted about her brand colours and what she should wear and her choice of outfit worked perfectly in the Flamingo Cafe setting which just so happened to reflect her colour palette perfectly.
The Shoot - Headshot Photographer on Location
I’m always looking for cool locations as a headshot photographer in Bournemouth and I was lucky enough to go back to a lovely venue I’d used before, Flamingo Cafe in Winton. It has the perfect vibe and plenty of different backgrounds, plus you get to have a lovely coffee while you’re shooting.

We started the shoot in the lounge area, which is perfect for a mix of working-style shots and lifestyle headshots. I love chatting throughout the shoot and hearing all about my client’s businesses, and Anna’s sounds truly amazing. She has a very different approach to most accountants that I’ve met, you can feel that she is very empathetic.
After we’d got enough shots in the lounge we moved to the cafe’s garden room, which has plenty of big tables to use. This also gave us an opportunity for more coffee and a quick wardrobe change for Anna. It’s great if you can have a quick change of jacket or top during a shoot, just so you can get as much variety as possible.
The Results - Headshot Photographer In Bournemouth
After the shoot I head home to do the edit, I’m always really excited to see the results, which means you never have to wait long for them. Once edited I prepare your own personal gallery where you can choose your favorite images to download and get using them straight away. Editing is a really important part of the job as this is when I choose the feel for the images, be it warm and comforting or a bright and light edit depending on your branding style. I like to feel that this final part of your headshot photography shoot is adding the magic and really bringing out your essence.
It has been such a pleasure seeing Anna using her images straight away across her social media. By inserting her headshots into a graphic she’s really letting her prospective clients get to know her and her message. It’s such a great way to use them.
