As a Southampton headshot photographer, I love taking lifestyle headshots on location using natural light. These give the perfect images for small businesses to use on their websites and social media. And this is exactly what events planner Carly of Sparks Life Events wanted for her headshot photography shoot.

With a page of Pinterest inspiration for the poses she wanted and professional makeup by Emma Kay Makeup, Carly was well prepared and it really showed. She absolutely rocked her headshot shoot with me.
The Brief - Southampton Headshots Photographer
Carly started her events planning business during lockdown taking all the experience she gathered in her corporate background to a new creative level. And she needed some lifestyle headshots that captured her brand style which I was happy to help her with.
The Shoot - Southampton Headshot Photographer
Based in Southbourne, Carly chose a pretty local cafe for the first part of her headshot photography shoot. This was the perfect location for those working lifestyle portraits and cafe culture.
The shoot went so smoothly that we had plenty of time to squeeze in a second nearby location which would give her some outdoor lifestyle headshots too. With a quick change of clothes, we headed off to a pretty lane in Christchurch with a row of pastel cottages.

As I was editing Carly’s headshots I kept high-fiving myself as I was so pleased with the results. And more importantly so was Carly. I know how much great photographs can elevate a new brand. They have the power to make your business stand out and connect to new clients. Good images scream “look at me”. They have the power to stop people scrolling, I like to think of them as your superpower… curated content will make people take notice. And I know Carly’s will do just that.
As a Southampton headshot photographer, it’s fantastic connecting with other local women in business. I think we have a special bond through our creativity.
