Southampton Headshot Photographer with Judith O’Hare Education Expert

As a Southampton headshot photographer, I love working with natural light to capture a relaxed and authentic headshot for my clients. These are perfect for updating your online profile, especially when first impressions count. I find keeping it simple helps to put my clients at ease, especially if it’s a home shoot. Which is exactly what made my shoot with Judith so lovely.

The Brief: Southampton Headshot Photographer

When Judith contacted me I could tell from her email that she was a confident lady, but hated having her picture taken. But with a new website to launch she needed a professional headshot to replace what Judith described as an absolutely awful one! So we arranged to meet at her beautiful home where she would be relaxed for her headshots. For Judith’s headshots, I wanted to capture a professional but approachable feel, as her job involves working with schools as an Ofsted inspector.

I never quite know what to expect when doing a home shoot, but Judith’s home couldn’t have been more perfect. She has a lovely garden which is where we started before going inside which is where the magic really happened. The light was so much softer and really bought out Judith’s beautiful blue eyes. It was a joy to take a little peek around her home which was filled with beautiful artefacts, all with a lovely story to them. This is part of the job I love, getting to know people's stories.

The Results : Southampton Headshots Photographer

I was super pleased with the results of Judith’s shoot. I felt like I’d really captured her calm, authoritative personality, something that must come from years of teaching. But mostly I love how beautiful she looks, she has a lovely knowing smile and twinkle in her eye. I’m pretty sure nothing gets past Judith, again probably her teaching background. We had a lovely connection and I greatly enjoyed our time together chatting about all sorts of things. It was lovely to hear that Judith enjoyed it as much as I did and loved her photos.

As a Southampton headshot photographer, it’s fantastic connecting with other local women in business.  I think we have a special bond through our creativity.
